KWWL.COM GAS, CASH AND CARS OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: Contest begins May 5th, 2008 and continues through May 22, 2008. You must be 18 or older to enter. Void where prohibited. Open only to legal U.S. residents of the terrestrial geographic viewing area of KWWL Television, who are physically located in the greater Cedar Rapids/Waterloo, Dubuque and Iowa City viewing area.

2. HOW TO ENTER: Enter online at kwwl.com beginning on May 5th, 2008. Click on the Gas, Cash and Cars Sweepstakes contest link and go to the page and complete the registration form. Form includes name, address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, birth date, and e-mail address (the “Registration Entry”), plus the selection of the automobile that entrant would most like to win. Upon submitting form, your name will be entered for the daily prize, and a secured electronic page will then be revealed with your unique contest number. Print out, or write down your contest number. It will not be shown again, and you will not be able to access it again. KWWL-TV not responsible for lost or misplaced contest numbers. The electronic page with your unique contest number will also include a time-sensitive, special offer from one of the contest sponsors. Restrictions regarding the offer will be listed. One sweepstakes entry/ unique contest number, per person, per email address, per day. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than one entry/ unique contest number per day by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void all of that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected registrations, which will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant or player. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. Alternate form of entry: To enter your name for the daily prize drawing, hand print your name, complete address (including zip code), phone number and date of birth (not age) on a 4 x 6 piece of paper (Title paper: “Gas, Cash and Cars, Enter my name!”) to KWWL 500 E 4th St. Waterloo, IA 50703 One entry, per envelope, per day. All mailed entry requests must be received by 9am on May 21, 2008, to be eligible for the final name prize drawing. Deadline to obtain your unique contest number is 4:30pm CST on May 22, 2008. KWWL and other participating sponsors and suppliers are not responsible for any lost, misdirected, illegible, or delayed entries for any reasons.

3. HOW TO WIN: Enter your name, and obtain a unique contest number as described above. Then, you can win a daily prize ($50 gas card or $500) by watching KWWL NEWS AT TEN for your name to be shown. Names will be selected via random drawing and shown each weekday, 5/05/08 – 5/21/08. If your name is shown, you must call 319-291-1277 within 15 minutes to win. $50 gas cards will be offered Mondays-Thursdays, 5/05/08 - 5/21/08, and $500 will be offered 5/9/08, and 5/16/08. In the event of no daily winner, an alternate name will be drawn and contacted by phone or e-mail to award the prize. You can win the Grand Prize of a new car by watching KWWL NEWS AT TEN for your unique contest number to be shown on Thursday, May 22nd. If your unique contest number is shown, you must call 319-291-1277 within 15 minutes to win. All potential winners are subject to verification of eligibility by the contest administrator in order to receive a prize. Most prize winners will be required to come to the KWWL-TV news studios, located at 500 E 4th St. Waterloo, Iowa, within 48 business hours of winning, or forfeit their prize. In the event that a winner is not in the immediate Waterloo/Cedar Falls area, gas card winners will have their prize sent to them via USPS, at KWWL’s expense. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until the entrant’s eligibility has been verified. If you are the winner for the grand prize, your unique contest number will be verified against record of the name/information the number was issued to. Only that person is eligible to win with that unique contest number. In the unlikely event that duplicate numbers are given, the first entrant to call KWWL when the number is shown with the valid number will be declared the winner, upon verification.

4. ELIGIBILITY/RESTRICTIONS: All contestants must be 18 years of age or older and live in the KWWL-TV viewing area to enter and win. Only one winner per family, and / or household. You may win only one gas card or cash prize, but every winner is eligible to win the Grand Prize. Entry into this contest constitutes permission to use the winner’s name and likeness for promotion, advertising and publicity purposes at no additional compensation. No transfer or substitution of prizes is permitted. Employees of KWWL-TV, Yancey Marketing Corporation, Kwik Star, Kruse-Warthan Dubuque Auto Plaza, Pat McGrath Chevyland, Rydell Chevrolet-Mitsubishi, and Witham Auto Center, all other participating sponsors and their parent and affiliate companies, suppliers as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and their spouses) are not eligible. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules, and Sponsor and contest administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Winners assume all risks and liabilities associated with the prize and awarding of such prize, and will be required to complete a Certificate of Eligibility and Release as a condition of winning. Prizes will not be awarded until the Affidavit and Release are properly completed and returned to KWWL-TV. Failure to comply with ANY of these requirements or the other requirements contained in these rules may result in forfeiture of the prize. All prizes are subject to the individual sponsor’s restrictions, and as a condition of winning, the winner agrees to these restrictions. All Federal, state, and local taxes, and other expenses not specifically mentioned herein, are the sole responsibility of each winner. Value of prizes exceeding $600 or an aggregate of $600 or more won in station–conducted contests during any one calendar year is reported to the Internal Revenue Service as additional income received. The amount reported to the IRS for income tax purposes will be the fair market value of the prize at the time the contest is initiated, or as soon thereafter as an accurate determination of value can be made. All winners of prizes above $600 will be required to sign a W-9 tax form. All winners must present a valid legal U.S. photo ID, and a Social Security card or Federal ID before claiming prize. Winners agree, as a condition of winning, that KWWL-TV, and Gas, Cash and Cars sponsors and their agents will have no liability in connection with the acceptance or use of prizes awarded. KWWL-TV is not responsible for prizes supplied by its promotional partners and other third parties. By accepting any prize, each winner agrees to release and hold sponsors harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, use of any prize including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sweepstakes Entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the game or sweepstakes, KWWL-TV and contest judges reserves its right in its discretion to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes/game for any reason. The Sweepstakes Entities (i) assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, duplicate numbers, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries: (ii) are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any information to be received by the Contest Entities on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest.

5. PRIZES: a. One brand new automobile will be offered, valued at approximately $25,000 (2008 Chevy Equinox LS, 2008 Chevy Malibu LS, BMW 1 Series, Ford Mustang GT), offered one time, May 22, 2008. b. Thirteen $50 gas cards awarded each Monday – Thursday May5th – May 21st, 2008. Combined total value of gas cards is $650. c. Two $500 cash prizes awarded Friday May 9th, and May 16th, 2008. Combined total value of cash awards is $1000. All prizes will be awarded in 7 days or less.

6. ODDS: Odds of winning on-air sweepstakes for $25,000 automobile are 1 in 100,000, based upon the unique numbers available to be assigned, and further depend upon time spent watching KWWL-TV, May 22, 2008. Odds of winning daily prize dependant upon number of registered entrants, and the time spent watching KWWL-TV.

7. SPECIAL DEALER OFFER: Upon entry, each entrant will receive a special offer from one of the participating car dealers. Restrictions and Expiration date will be listed with offer.

8. GENERAL RULES: This sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations, force majeure, and is void where prohibited by law. Sweepstakes numbers for the $25,000 automotive prize limited to the first 100,000 entries.
